Terms
Last updated 6 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Weda LLC-FZ (“we”, “us”), the company that runs Oops Jar. By using Oops Jar you agree to them, so please read them. They’re short. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information.
What Oops Jar does
Oops Jar keeps a tally. You make a jar, add people, and tap +1 when someone slips up. On pay day it works out who owes what, and keeps track of who says they’ve paid.
Oops Jar doesn’t hold, collect or move any money. Paying up happens between the people in a jar, in whatever way you agree: cash, bank transfer, a payment link or anything else. We’re not part of that arrangement. We can’t make anyone pay, and we’re not responsible for money that’s owed or paid between you. A jar is a bit of fun between friends and family, not a contract.
Your account
- You need to be 13 or over to make an account.
- Keep your sign-in (your Apple, Google or email account) secure. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- Use your own name, or a name the people in your jars will recognise.
Plans and paying for them
- Joining a jar is free. To start jars, you need a plan: Yearly (with a free trial) or Monthly. The app shows the price before you buy.
- You buy plans through the App Store or Google Play, so Apple’s or Google’s terms apply to the payment, and they handle billing and refunds.
- A plan renews automatically until you cancel it. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings at least 24 hours before it renews, or before the free trial ends, or you’ll be charged.
- If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- When a plan ends, your jars stay, and everyone can keep using them. You just can’t start new ones until you have a plan again.
- Deleting your account or the app doesn’t cancel your plan. Cancel it with Apple or Google too.
- If we change the price, Apple or Google will tell you before it applies to you.
Using Oops Jar fairly
Please don’t use Oops Jar to bully, harass, embarrass or pressure anyone. Only add people who’d be happy to be in the jar. Don’t put anything unlawful, hateful or someone else’s private details in jar names or descriptions. And don’t try to break, overload or get around how Oops Jar works.
If someone breaks these terms, we may remove what they’ve added, or suspend or close their account.
Your content
Jars, names and everything else you add stay yours. You let us store them and show them to the people in your jars, so Oops Jar can work. That permission ends when you delete them or your account, apart from your name in other people’s jars (see the Privacy Policy).
Ending things
You can stop using Oops Jar and delete your account at any time: You tab, then Delete account. If we ever close Oops Jar, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before, and stop plans renewing.
Our responsibility to you
We work hard to keep Oops Jar running and your tallies right, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. A tally is only as accurate as what people tap. If something goes wrong, tell us at hello@oopsjar.com and we’ll try to put it right.
Oops Jar is for personal use. We’re not responsible for losses we couldn’t have expected, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t let us limit. You also keep your legal rights as a consumer.
If you got Oops Jar from the App Store
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Oops Jar, for supporting or maintaining it, or for any claims about it, including claims that it breaks the law, infringes someone else’s rights, or doesn’t work as it should. If Oops Jar doesn’t work as it should, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for it, if any. Apart from that, Apple has no responsibility for it. You can use Oops Jar on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple’s App Store terms allow. You confirm you’re not in a country under a US government embargo, or on a US government list of prohibited people. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms against you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Oops Jar changes. We’ll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email before a change that matters takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Oops Jar and delete your account.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If there’s a dispute, the courts of England and Wales can deal with it. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also go to your local courts. If you live anywhere else, you keep any protection your local consumer law gives you.
