Help

Can’t find an answer here? Email hello@oopsjar.com. A real person reads every email.

How do I join a jar?

Tap the invite link you were sent. If it doesn’t open the app, open Oops Jar, tap Join with a code and type the 8-character code from the invite.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. Joining a jar is always free. Only the person who starts a jar needs a plan.

Does Oops Jar collect the money?

No. Oops Jar keeps the tally and works out who owes what on pay day. You settle up between yourselves, by cash, bank transfer or a pay link, then mark it as paid in the app.

I didn’t get the sign-in email

It can take a minute, and it may be in your spam or junk folder. The email has a link and a 6-digit code: tap the link on your phone, or type the code into the app. Each email works once and runs out after an hour. Still nothing? Tap Send a new email, or sign in with Apple or Google instead.

How do I cancel my plan?

iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Oops Jar. Android: open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews, or before your free trial ends. Your jars stay when a plan ends.

How do I get a refund?

Apple and Google handle payments, so refunds go through them. iPhone: reportaproblem.apple.com. Android: the order in Google Play, or Google Play’s refund page.

Someone added a +1 by mistake

Anyone in the jar can take a +1 back before pay day: tap − next to that person. It shows in the jar’s activity, with who took it back, so nobody can quietly change the count.

I’ve got a new phone

Sign in the same way as before (Apple, Google or the same email) and your jars are all there. Mobile numbers and emails you saved for people stay on your old phone, because we never get them.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: the You tab, then Delete account. More about deleting your account.
